Joanne Patterson

“I graduated as an occupational therapist in 1995 and have worked in occupational rehabilitation sector since that time. My expertise is a combination of case management and occupational therapy within this sector, assisting people to resume their activities of daily living and return to work in their pre-injury role. I have also worked with clients who have a dual diagnosis of psychiatric illness and brain injury. I have conducted training in manual handling, ergonomics and developed Occupational Health and Safety policies. I am very comfortable using my skill base to case manage a variety of clients sometimes with complex social situations.”

Joanne’s key interests are injury management, ergonomic assessments and training (manual handling and ergonomics in the workplace). Joanne is a certified Return to Work Coordinator and provides Training for individuals and companies. Some of Joanne’s past experiences include Senior Rehabilitation manager which involved responsibility for a team of 15 rehabilitation professionals plus subcontractors, being accountable for business performance, and development of safety and injury management programs to customers and clients from an employer’s perspective.
