Melissa Sale
Having completed her Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) from the University of Western Sydney in 2006, Melissa has worked in a variety of clinical settings in both Australia and the United Kingdom.
She has extensive Occupational Therapy experience providing services to clients with needs ranging from traumatic and acquired brain injury, neurological conditions, amputees, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions, ageing, psychological and mental health injuries, disability (including physical and intellectual disability), pain management and palliative care.
Melissa’s area of specialty is in injury treatment and rehabilitation within the occupational rehabilitation field. Key areas of practice include; conducting initial, activities of daily living, functional and complex/high care needs assessments; retraining and rehabilitation in functional tasks; equipment prescription and environmental modifications; case management and developing return to work and care plans under the NSW Workers Compensation, CTP and various Life Insurance schemes. She has gained a wide range of experience in communicating with all stakeholders to implement work duties plans and facilitate effective and durable return to work outcomes. Her passion is conducting training to assist with the prevention of injuries in the workplace.
